Download: QWERTY (.zip contains .AI file)
Here's another download file for educators. Are you working on an computer instructional document that requires keyboard graphics from the Qwerty layout? The QWERTY download file was created from the Qwerty typeface, and converted to outlines. Transparency has been preserved, color: black, CS3 file format using Adobe Illustrator. File contains the rest of the PC keys (i.e. spacebar, shift, etc), but not all.

Ratatat
Presented by Foundation & House of Blues. $15.25 adv/ $18.25 day of show. Doors at 8pm/9 pm show.
"Ratatat fuse hip hop beats with spectacular acrobatic guitar riffs as well as a satisfying amount of the blips and glips of electronica. And they do it well."
* The quote above came from the flyer advert, but i'm not sure what "blips and glips" means? I'm guessing "beeps and blips" is what they intended to say.
April 14, 2009
Digable Planets (SHOW CANCELLED)
plus guests Common Market & DJ BMF (8th Dim./The Social)
Doors at 9:00PM, $15.00, 18 and up.
* I'm disappointed in the cancellation. I saw Digable Planets perform their reunion tour and though, "they're still on point". Blowout Comb was one of those albums that realigned my thoughts about hip hop music vs. commercial rap (aka crap).

Isis
Doors at 8:00PM, $12.00 advance / $14.00 day of show, 18 and up. Tickets available at the Social Box Office, the door, and Ticketmaster locations.
The music of ISIS is a suitable metaphor for their 12-year career: patient, meticulous, fraught with tensionand gradually building towards an apex of seismic proportions. From the hypnotically bludgeoning down-tuned riffs of their early years to the gracefully sprawling passages on their pivotal sophomore album Oceanic and continuing through the intricate rhythmic textures and increased melody of 2006's In The Absence of Truth, ISIS have successfully navigated the process of growing and evolving without disavowing their initial vision.

Event: Milk Shake
03/23/09 00:25 Filed in: Events
Sunday, March 22, 2009. Milk Shake was hosted by Covert, Beta, Etoile, DropShop, Sportstown Billiards, Bold Hype, and Alchemy. The location was the back parking lot of 2428 E. Robinson Street, Orlando, FL. This was a block party of music, art, and vegan hotdogs. Covert, Beta, and Etolie offered clearance sales on men's and women's clothing & accessories. Visual artist/dj Andrew Spear showcased his new mural for everyone. Local dj's and bands took the stage (actually a parking space) to keep the vibe flowing. Around 2:30 PM, I watched in agony as hungry contestants completed the Vegan Hot Dog Eating Contest. And yes, someone did puke within the twelve-minutes of the eat-off. Unfortunately, I never found out who won. Those who went inside the Covert store, may have met the Obey (Shepard Fairey) reps from Atlanta. I was desperate to buy new threads, but I decided to pre-order from the new catalog instead. Around 6 PM, the rain ensued and killed the sound for a while. I didn't stay for the last hours, so i missed out on DaVinci & Beef Wellington's performances. Sorry guys.

Glyphs
03/14/09 14:42 Filed in: Design
What are glyphs? Fonts contain many sorts of characters that are called, glyphs. Glyphs include: Command, Control, Option or other similar looking characters. When writing educational-training documents, I spend a lot of time tracking down images of keyboard glyphs. Finally, I was fed up with repeating myself, so I created a time-saving, vector-based compilation of commonly used glyphs.

The Flying Cup Club
03/06/09 18:07 Filed in: Music
I'm a little confused by Beirut's, "The Flying Cup Club", the second album mystery title. It was prereleased on iTunes back in September 2007 and was officially released on 4AD as "The Flying Club Cup" in October 2007. If you look at the album art work, the title is "The Flying Club Cup", which is what i've always called it. The last song in the album is entitled, "The Flying Club Cup". We would assume that the album title would match the song name, but in iTunes they're different. I doubt CDDB is incorrect, but Ba Da Ding!'s website uses "Club Cup". I'm led to more doubt by asking, what does club cup mean? I'm not sure if there's a typo or a change that was made somewhere along the line. Nevertheless, it's still a beautiful album and worth the purchase. If anyone has an answer, please straighten me out.
Read the Apple iTunes review and check how the review doesn't match the title.

Here a snapshot of "Club Cup" from the 4AD website.
Here we have Other Music's listing of Beirut "The Flying Cup Club".
Lastly, this is snapshot of The Flying Club Cup on BaDaBing! (BING055)
