Paper Man is the opening film at this year’s Florida Film Festival (FFF). Emma Stone (Zombieland) is one of the stars in the film. Lisa Kudrow (favorite TV “Friends”) and Jeff Daniels also star in this coming-of-middle age story. The film is directed by Michele & Kieran Mulroney.
The main feature is preceded by an Australian film entitled, “My Rabit Hoppy” from 2008. Directed by Anthony Lucas, his film “The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello” was the 2006 nominee for Best Animated Short Academy Award. I purchased the short-film from the iTunes Store last year. I thought how often do you see an original steampunk animation film like this? Film freaks, don't forget the Florida Film Festival 09 ends soon. I have seen the Animated Shorts, "Not Quite Hollywood", and Plympton's cartoon "Idiots & Angels". There's still more to see at Enzian or Regal theatre in Winter Park by April 5th. "Art & Copy" is the next movie I plan to see.
